One broker, one lender panel

North Wicklow's DART-line towns trade close to Dublin prices, while the south of the county is more affordable — so the right lender and the right scheme can change what's within reach. We check your figures against the lenders on our panel at once and confirm your borrowing quickly, so you can move when the right home appears.

One broker from first call to drawdown — the continuity behind a ★ 5-star rated on Google.

The Wicklow property market

As a rough local guide (indicative, and moving with the market):

  • Greystones / Bray (DART line): €420,000–€600,000
  • Wicklow town & Rathnew: €320,000–€430,000
  • Arklow & south Wicklow: €270,000–€370,000
  • Blessington & west Wicklow: €300,000–€420,000

The county's mix of coastal, mountain and commuter towns means your budget behaves very differently north to south — worth modelling carefully before you set your search.

Government schemes for Wicklow buyers

We'll model every support you might qualify for against your own figures:

  • Help to Buy — up to €30,000 toward the deposit on a qualifying new build or self-build.
  • First Home Scheme — a shared-equity top-up that helps with north Wicklow's higher new-build prices.
  • Local Authority Home Loan — a State-backed mortgage through Wicklow County Council when a bank can't lend enough.
  • Vacant & derelict property grants — for renovating an empty home in the county.

Why Wicklow clients choose us

Same-day assessments, one point of contact, and a broker who understands how lenders treat coastal and mountain-area property — so you bid with certainty in a county where the right house goes fast.

Common questions

Do you cover north Wicklow as well as the rest of the county?

Yes — Bray, Greystones and the DART-line towns of north Wicklow, plus Wicklow town, Arklow, Blessington and the county's villages. North Wicklow trades at near-Dublin prices, so the lender and scheme strategy matters even more there.

Greystones and Bray are expensive — can I still qualify?

North Wicklow is among the priciest areas outside Dublin city, so the deposit and income needed are higher. A free eligibility check is the honest way to see what you can borrow across the lenders on our panel — and whether the First Home Scheme can bridge a gap on a new build.

Can I arrange it around a Dublin commute?

Yes — phone, email and secure upload mean the whole mortgage can be done without taking time off, which suits the many Wicklow buyers who work in Dublin. In-person meetings are available if you'd prefer.

What schemes can a Wicklow buyer use?

Help to Buy (up to €30,000 on a qualifying new build or self-build), the First Home Scheme, and the Local Authority Home Loan through Wicklow County Council if a bank can't lend enough. We can advise on which of these schemes may apply to your situation.

How experienced is the broker?

Francis Howard QFA has arranged mortgages since 2018 with a 5-star rating on Google, across first-time buyers, self-builds and switchers.
